这组词的共同含义是“驱散,使消散”。其区别是：

scatter指驱使一群人或事物向四下散开,这种事物可以是看得见、摸得着的,也可以是抽象的; dispel仅用于无法触摸的事物,如云朵、情感等,并含有使之完全消失之意; disperse指彻底驱散一个紧凑整体,但不含有使之不能再聚拢的意思。

这两个词都有“散布”“撒开”的意思。其区别是：

1.spread强调有目的地均匀涂抹、撒开。其宾语可以是具体名词,也可以是抽象名词。

2.scatter强调随意性和无规律性,其宾语则只能是具体名词。例如:
